Suhail Bahwan Group, UK firm set up joint venture |
|
MUSCAT -- ESC Gulf LLC, a joint venture between the Suhail Bahwan Group and Economic Security Consultants of the United Kingdom, was officially launched at a private event in Muscat attended by Sheikh Ahmed Suhail Bahwan and Stephen Gregory, managing director of ESC Ltd.
These two leading organisations have formed a partnership that brings a unique portfolio of services to Oman and the wider Middle East. In an ever more globalised world, increased exposure of both intellectual and physical national and corporate assets becomes more critical. The services offered by ESC Gulf will provide assistance to anyone with responsibility for the management and control of risk, be it through the provision of security services, crisis management skills, emergency response activities or business continuity expertise.
The formation of ESC Gulf is the culmination of two years of local integration in Oman; learning, understanding and respecting those organisations and individuals who are stakeholders in the critical national infrastructure.
ESC Gulf has been incorporated into Oman with Sheikh Ahmed Suhail Bahwan as the company chairman. Two board members have been nominated by ESC Ltd from the UK, Stephen Gregory and Roy Crowther, and there are two directors from the Suhail Bahwan Group, Divyendu Kumar and Alex Borges.
On the occasion of the launch Stephen Gregory said: "The strong relationship between the UK and the Sultanate underpins the ethos ESC Gulf brings in its desire to ensure skills and information sharing are brought to Oman by an Omani company. This is supported by ESC's unrivalled experience in global infrastructure projects."
In his opening speech Alex Borges, said: "ESC Gulf are looking to share their expertise in Oman and the Gulf region, ensuring that there is a transfer of knowledge and a wider industry dialogue to maintain the integrity and safety of this beautiful country".
