Makateb and Sungwon sign management deal |
|
Makateb Holding, a Dubai-based property developer, has signed Sungwon, a South Korean company, to be its facilities management division for the UAE.
The partnership will allow Makateb to deliver a range of integrated facilities management services, including consultancy, mechanical and electrical maintenance, lifecycle costing, energy management, cleaning, security services, landscape maintenance, window cleaning and building maintenance.
"We are consolidating our portfolio in accordance with the company's commitment to address emerging and future requirements of the business community, particularly among office building tenants. Sungwon has been widely recognised for its facilities management services worldwide. This partnership will definitely reinforce our market stronghold and allow us to deliver a wider range of services and maintain the high level of satisfaction of our clients," said Hisham Abdel Ghani, Chairman, Makateb Holding.
"Sungwon's alliance with Makateb Holding enables us to offer a superior portfolio of services and facilities. Sungwon will provide customised facility management services that will complement Makateb Holding's office building solutions in order to deliver optimum profits and cost savings, energy conservation, and a highly conducive business setting," said Wahid Atallah, Chairman, Sungwon.
The company offers end-to-end office building solutions to property owners and developers, regardless if their buildings or related facilities are already in operation, are currently in the design stage or are under construction.
While the company has customised services for a wide range of building profiles, those that are still in the design phase stand to gain most in terms of greater flexibility in incorporating the specific designs and components required to enhance the building's operation and strengthen its market value.
Makateb Holding has also established partnerships with high-end specialty companies such as facility and cleaning management firms.
