On behalf of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed, and with attendance of High-ranking officials, Nahyan inaugurates the new ADU Campus at a cost of 600 Million Dirhams.

On behalf of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, President of the Board of Trustees at ADUADULoading..., H.H. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education in the UAE, Vice-president of the Board of Trustees at ADUADULoading..., has inaugurated the new university campus which cost 600 Millions in Khalifa city - Abu Dhabi, with the attendance of a number of Sheikhs, Ministers and high-ranking officials in the country. His Highness, on behalf of H.H. Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has also witnessed the university's celebration of the "First Tribunal Day" in which the university had rewarded companies, agencies, businessmen, and individuals who backed-up the successful story of the university in the previous period.

The celebrations began on the arrival of H.H. Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, who unveiled the cover on an electronic screen at the main entrance of the university to declare the official opening of the new university campus. His Highness also opened a comprehensive exhibition organized by the university under the theme of (Five years of Academic Excellence). The exhibition included a number of scientific projects that had been accomplished by university students from all colleges. His Highness had also listened to an explanation regarding the role of the university in serving the community, as well as the training programs which are being carried out in cooperation with a number of companies and agencies inside the country.

His Highness continued his tour around the academic and scientific facilities in the university, and visited the computer, applied sciences, languages and translation labs, and met with Masters Students in the university and discussed the important of Higher Education in the life of each one of them, and the country's need of specialized national expertise. H.H had also assured Masters Students the emphasis of the wise leadership in the country to provide the best educational environment to each and every national student, which encourages creativity, scientific excellence and helps with the advancement of society.

His Highness continues his tour in the males' campus and met students inside the classrooms, labs, student activities departments, and the food court which the university had prepared and managed to attract many students. The food court includes games, electronic screens, and a number of restaurants that offers a variety of meals.

In the female campus, His Highness had visited the central library which is considered as one of the most prestigious scientific libraries, based on the scientific references and works in different languages such as Arabic, English, French, German and other international languages. H.H had also received a flower bouquet from two female students (Iman and Amal Al Maskari), sisters with special needs, to show their gratitude and appreciation to His Highness's generosity of offering them scholarships which enabled them to obtain a bachelor degree as honored students, and then continue their higher education in Master programs.

His Highness had also inaugurated the university website which enables the university to connect with the world. H.H then went to tour the housing compounds for the academic and administrative staff which includes 119 housing unites that includes villas and flats. The compound also includes shopping malls, gardens, clinic and a mosque. His Highness also checked the female students' dorms which include 63 rooms accommodating 140 students. The dorms are fitted with all necessary equipments that help to provide a comfortable stay for the students. Females privacy was also taken into consideration, and it's designed to create the best atmosphere for the students to focus on their studies and researches.

Later on, His Highness was accompanied to the male students dorm which includes 63 rooms that accommodates 140 students. The dorm is easily linked to the university and under the supervision of specialized staff.

At the end of the new university campus tour, His Highness on behalf of H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, President of the Board of Trustees at ADUADULoading..., has witnessed the university's celebrations of the "First Tribunal Day" " in which the university had rewarded companies, agencies, businessmen, and individuals who backed-up the university's mission, scientific and educational projects since it was launched on the year 2003.

H.E. Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, the ADUADULoading... Chairman of the Executive Board, has noted that the inauguration of the new campus opens wide horizons in the coming period for the university, adding that His Highness's attendance shall also double the responsibilities of the university and its role as a leading national academic institution for education. Building the new campus had cost over 600 million dirhams, and it was taken into consideration then that the new campus should be a perfect academic entity, where the campus consists of 4 floors that includes 100 classrooms, and 26 specialized science labs, as well as a library.

Bin Harmal added that the new campus stretches for 360 thousand square meters, where 50 thousand square meters have been constructed, while the greenery stretches for 20 thousand square meters. The campus is also connected in modern ways to Abu Dhabi- Al Ain road on the 29th conjunction, and that offers the students a wide network of transportations to the students from inside and outside Abu Dhabi.

Bin Harmal had also added that there are also 119 housing compounds dedicated for the administrative and academic staff, as well as a male students dorm which consists of 63 rooms that can accommodate 140 students, and a female student dorm that includes 63 rooms and accommodates 140 students. The third phase of the campus which will be done with in two months will include a school for all ages, which will contribute to training students, and conducting scientific researches. The new campus will also consist of an academic hospital that will be prepared according to the highest global academic standards.

Bin Harmal also noted on H.H's reward for the community institutes, businessmen, and individuals who supported the university process through executing scientific programs, or offering scholarships to students and training opportunities, and the companies that assisted with the construction of the university facilities, and they're all considered as "partners in the university achievement and we are proud of the role they've played".

Dr. Nabil Ibrahim, the ADUADULoading... chancellor, noted that this event comes in a time when the university is advancing its academic initiatives such as the expansion of academic programs which includes offering 18 bachelor programs, and 8 master programs. The university also hosts more than 4000 students from 22 different nationalities, where local students make up 47%, and that makes the university a unique academic environment where tradition and values interact in it, and the student is made to feel that s/he's living in a perfect 21st century environment that witness scientific advancements and progress which makes the world seem as if it's a small village.

Dr. Nabil Ibrahim added that the university will conduct more academic and research initiatives such as establishing new applied scientific institutions for energy, water, environment and more specializations that fulfill the needs of Abu Dhabi's general policy agenda and its economical development.
