MUSCAT -- Some people are simply superb. So are the resorts they create.

Well, whoever has created the above dream resort and all that it offers can count himself/herself as a candidate for an Oscar, so to speak, for creativity with a capital C. Ladies and gentlemen, this National Day is going to gift the people of Oman a dream destination for holiday-makers with something to titillate each of the Six Senses they have.

Here is the news.

Ahmed bin Abdulnabi Macki, minister of national economy and deputy chairman of the Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council, will inaugurate the Six Senses resort in the wilayat of Diba in the governorate of Musandam.

The launch of the RO32 million project coincides with the 38th National Day anniversary celebrations. A secluded fishing village on the northern Musandam Peninsula, the Zighy Bay sits within dramatic scenery -- mountains to one side and long sandy beach to the other.

The resort offers a number of dining options, from a hilltop restaurant serving international cuisine to informal dining. The resort's spa, operated by award-winning Six Senses Spas, offers nine treatment rooms and focuses on holistic wellness and rejuvenation.

Even on arrival guests have the choice of three arrival experiences: A scenic 15-minute speedboat trip, a drive down from the top of the hill overlooking the bay or travel as a companion passenger with the hideaway's own professional paraglider.

The resort accommodates 82 chalets each comprising separate swimming pools and 13 of them have health clubs.

The project facing the Gulf of Oman is 380km from Muscat and 110km from the centre of the governorate of Musandam.
