EIDA registration for Emirates staff to be handled by EMP

have signed on Emirates Marketing Promotions (EMP)Emirates Marketing Promotions (EMP)
, a subsidiary of Emirates Post, to register and process ID cards for more than 35,000 expatriate staff in the UAE.In line with the decree issued by EIDA, all expatriates in the UAE should have an ID with ship card by 2010. EMPEMP
counters, along with agents, have been placed within the Emirates' offices. Employees are required to print and fill up a form that has been sent by email to them. This is followed by the payment of a pre-registration fee of Dhs 40. Post sorting and data entry by the concerned EMPEMP
cell, an automated SMS will be sent to the employees informing them of the completion of pre-registration and requesting to proceed with the registration process.
For registration, the employee will return to the EMPEMP
counter and fill up a barcode incorporated form. This barcode will be associated with the employee's file. During submission the employees are required to give their photograph along with fingerprints.
After the data is processed, the employee will receive the ID card within two weeks by EMPOST courier.
