Trango Systems Taps Middle East with New Distribution Agreement

Press Release

John Seaman, Trango Systems.

Dubai, 20th October 2008- Trango Systems, also widely known as Trango Broadband Wireless, a leading global developer of high-capacity, fixed wireless microwave communication systems - licensed and unlicensed - announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement with Prologix Distribution, a leading value-added distributor of computer telephony products, to create a local presence in the region.  Under the agreement, Prologix will distribute market and promote Trango's fixed wireless products in the Middle East & Africa region, in addition to providing technical support and sales consulting.

Trango System's fixed wireless products offer full-featured, enterprise-class performance for a wide variety of communications and broadband Internet access applications.  The company's solutions have been deployed in thousands of locations worldwide due to superior performance, low cost, and ease of installation and management.

"We are very selective of the products we take on," said Mr. Aditya Sahaya - Director Business Development from Prologix. "But after recognizing Trango's strong record of patents and industry leading innovations, we knew we had found a winner. This new range of fixed wireless applications greatly enhances our portfolio of wireless communication. We expect a very positive reaction from our customers and end-users."

The United Arab Emirates leads all of the Middle East and North Africa region in total telecom connectivity, including wireline, (or electric line) wireless and Internet penetration.[1] According to a recent study, the UAE total penetration is at 329.5 percent, having shown strong growth since its 261.4 percent rating in 2006. The IT services market in the UAE is also growing substantially, so much so that it's expected to touch US$2.3 billion by 2012[2].

"Communication and IT infrastructure in the region is rapidly expanding and microwave radios play a key role in this growth.  The dry climate of the region lends itself exceptionally well to microwave propagation," said Mr. John Seaman from Trango. "We needed this product to expand our reach across the region - Prologix demonstrated a commitment to providing exceptional customer service and expert knowledge in the market, so we decided they were our best choice for a partnership. This agreement supports our global wireless initiatives as we continue to satisfy a growing market demand for wireless solutions."

Prologix will distribute a variety of  Trango's newest products in the Middle East & Africa Market, including TrangoLINK-45, a popular, low-cost, point-to-point wireless solution which delivers up to 45 Mbps, using the unlicensed 5 GHz band and TrangoLINK Giga® wireless digital links, and delivering a symmetrical bandwidth connection up to 620+ Mbps (310+ Mbps full duplex).
