Qatar: QR6.696bn worth notes, coins issued in June |

Doha - The Qatar Central Bank (QCB)Qatar Central Bank (QCB)
issued a total of QR6.696bn in currency notes and coins in the month of June, according to latest figures released by the country's apex bank. During the month, the QCBQCB issued QR5.471bn in QR500 bills, QR748m in QR100 notes, QR249m worth of QR50 notes, QR118m of QR10, QR48m of QR5 and QR45m of QR1 bills. The total amount of bank notes issued in monetary terms came to QR6.679bn.
The amount for the coins issued for the month came to QR16.71m, of which QR11.50m was in the form of 50 dirham coins and QR4.93m in 25 dirham coins. Figures for coins of lesser denominations were negligible.
Also in June, Qatar banks cleared 359, 172 cheques with a combined value of QR39.229bn. The daily average was 16,326 cheques cleared with a value of QR1.783bn.
