Insurance Policy Terms to Benefit All Visa Types Applicants |

Dubai - Major General Mohammad Al Marri, Director of Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD), today announced that starting from Saturday (20 September, 2008), DNRD will not accept any health insurance policies that do not comply with the previously announced structure by the department in a bid to offer the best health insurance coverage for all visa types applicants. Under the supervision of DNRD, an agreement was signed between AmanAman
and Oman Insurance CompaniesOman Insurance Companies
to unify health insurance policies issued by them which are also offered at the DNRD headquarters and external centers. He also announced that the two companies will offer health insurance policies pertaining to all online visas.He reiterated the terms of the agreement reached with the two insurance companies which adopted three different types of health policies according to the periods of stay. Prices start form 40 Dirham for short-term visas valid for 30 days, 90 Dirham for visas valid for 90 days and 185 Dirham for multiple entry visas valid for 180 days. He also explained that these policies will cover accidents and emergencies during visitor's stay in the county and the medication will be carried out through a network covered by insurance companies in the country.
The agreement implied that the geographical coverage area is the UAE for a minimum limit of AED150,000 per person per visit. The beneficiary will receive treatment in a shared hospital room in case of emergencies. It indicated that the two companies will cover 100% of services to be offered to the patient throughout the network of the health services providers in the country including the hospital accommodation and the fees of diagnostics, surgery, anesthesiology and the aid for emergency situations leading to hospitalization in addition to medicines and drugs needed for treatment inside the hospital and the treatment costs and the costs of rehabilitation treatments and teeth treatment for damages caused by accidents during the certification valid period in the UAE.
