Dubai - United Arab Emirates: The Nissan Armada has been awarded with the July 2008 'Editor's Choice Award' from Saudi Auto, the leading automotive magazine in Saudi Arabia. The popular Nissan Armada took first place after successfully beating several competitors from the full-size SUV category.
The Editor's Choice is a monthly test drive feature conducted by Saudi Auto's expert editorial team involving both static and dynamic evaluation criteria.
"With an enhanced appearance and functionality for the 2009 model year, the latest Armada is more worthy than ever of Nissan's flagship SUV status. With its imposing stance, luxurious interior appointments and rugged utilitarian features the Armada is the complete package" commented Abdulilah Wazni, SUV Brand Manager at Nissan Middle East.
The Nissan Armada was recognised for having best-in-class interior space, ground clearance, approach and departure angles as well as features such as user-friendly keyless door entry/engine start, power rear tailgate and superior engine performance from its beefy V8 engine.
Additional features include the Nissan Armada's three-row seating configuration which comfortably accommodates eight passengers. Unrivalled versatility comes with the front-passenger side folding flat, along with the second and third-row seats guaranteeing a roomier experience and a pleasurable drive.
New technology features on the Nissan Armada include Nissan Navigation and DVD entertainment system, intelligent key, rear-view camera, Bose audio, I-pod Connectivity and blue tooth.
The Armada is powered by an impressive 360-hp, aluminum-alloy V8 engine providing brisk and responsive acceleration. With formidable 4WD capabilities, the Armada is up for any off-road challenge, but is equally at home on the highway and city streets, thanks to a fully independent double-wishbone suspension that delivers secure and predictable road handling characteristics.
