60 new schools in Missan |

MISSAN - The higher council for reconstruction has agreed with Missan province to establish 60 new elementary schools to replace 60 mud-brick schools spread in separate areas of Missan.
"The higher council for reconstruction will build 40 schools, while the Missan province will build 20," Mohamed Shezar. the technical assistant of the province, told Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq (VOI).
"The agreement has been made during a meeting between Dr.Karim Haqi, the premier's adviser for development, and the governor of Missan as well as a number of advisers and engineers in the province," he explained,
"The number of mud-brick schools in 2003 was 171 spread in the province's villages and districts. A total of 111 schools were replaced and only 60 left," according to the statistics of the Missan education department.
Amara, the capital city of Missan, lies 390 km south of Baghdad.
