The Saudi Gazette

RIYADH - There is an abundant supply of diesel fuel and there was no cause of concern on the issue, Engineer Ahmed Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Saadi, Executive Director for Distribution and Ports Works in Saudi AramcoSaudi AramcoLoading..., said here Sunday.

Diesel fuel is available at all AramcoAramcoLoading... petroleum products distribution stations in the Kingdom, he said.

"The company has not reduced quotas for authorized clients."

He said the shortage in supplies of diesel fuel at gas stations on Riyadh-Taif Expressway has been taken care of as the company has boosted its supplies to Northern Riyadh by transporting additional quantities of different petroleum products from other nearby distribution stations, the Saudi Press agency (SPA) said.

The company had stopped loading work from its distribution stations in Northern Riyadh temporarily to carry out maintenance works and re-operate them after three loading platforms at these stations caught fire, Al-Saadi said. "The stations will resume operation within the next few days," he added.

Al-Saadi said to prevent the occurrence of a shortage in supplies, Saudi AramcoSaudi AramcoLoading... has chalked out a plan to guarantee abundance of products for all consumers in Riyadh Region. The company has directed its clients and distributors of petroleum products in Riyadh Region to obtain the quantities of fuel agreed upon from the nearest Saudi AramcoSaudi AramcoLoading... petroleum products stations. Also, it has raised the operation capacity of distribution stations located in Southern Riyadh, Al-Qassim and Al-Ahsa and they are now operating round the clock.
