Amadeus signs 10-year distribution agreements with thirteen AACOAACO
member airlines, up from seven in 2000, accounting now for 68% of reservations made by travel agencies in the region Dubai, UAE, 4 August 2008: Royal Air Maroc (RAM)Royal Air Maroc (RAM), Morocco's national carrier, has signed a 10-year distribution agreement with Amadeus, a global leader in technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry. RAMRAM joins 12 other regional carriers from the Arab Air Carriers Organisation (AACO)Arab Air Carriers Organisation (AACO) that selected Amadeus as an exclusive distribution partner in their home markets, for ten years, effective January 1st, 2009.
These 13 airlines (Air AlgerieAir Algerie, Afriqiyah AirwaysAfriqiyah Airways, EgyptAirEgyptAir, Etihad AirwaysEtihad Airways, Kuwait AirwaysKuwait Airways, Libyan AirlinesLibyan Airlines, Qatar AirwaysQatar Airways, Royal Air MarocRoyal Air Maroc, Saudi Arabian AirlinesSaudi Arabian Airlines, Sudan AirwaysSudan Airways, Syrian Arab AirlinesSyrian Arab Airlines, TunisairTunisair and Yemen AirwaysYemen Airways) account for 68% of reservations made by travel agents in the region.
