According to the Global Emerging Markets Survey of 300 retailers worldwide, the UAE ranks number eight among the Top 15 most international retail markets. The survey said 41% of international retailers have a presence in the country and more growth is expected. The potential of this market is further emphasized upon by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) that has described retail trading in the city as becoming "elite".
