CMO MENA opens |
|
The CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) Council has launched the CMO Council MENA based in Dubai.
The Council is dedicated to high-level knowledge exchange, thought leadership and personal relationship building among senior marketing and brand decision-makers across a wide-range of global industries. Its 6,000 members control more than $70 billion in aggregated annual marketing expenditures.
"With a high-profile presence in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific, the CMO Council's expansion into the Middle East is fitting given the region's extraordinary economic and technological boom and mirrors the strategic importance of Dubai and Abu Dhabi as powerful cogs in an emerging global economic engine," said Donovan Neale-May, executive director.
James Magee, business development director of Dubai-based ITD Group will serve as regional director.
Plans for 2007 include the formation of the CMO Council MENA Advisory Board.
As with the other regional chapters, CMO Council MENA will nominate and convene an Advisory Board, comprised of Neale-May, James Magee, and senior marketers from global and regional brands across representative industries.
The Board will meet at least twice a year to help set the direction of the regional chapter and provide insight into initiatives, programmes, forums and other activities being planned or executed on behalf of the membership.
